Day 14 Javanese, not Japanese

  • Feb 6, 2017

Today we went back to satit to observe. In the morning we waited for visitors to come and so we could welcome them. We thought they were Japanese visitors and so we looked for Japanese words we could say to them. When they arrived, we were surprised because they were wearing hijab. They were Javanese visitors, not Japanese. We were very surprised because we thought wrong and even practiced Japanese words that we could say to them only to find out my Indonesian friends won't need to search for words to say.

We accompanied them as they went around the Satit. They looked around the different facilities in the Satit and also in the university. They visited the Satit because they will also observe some of the other SEATEACHERS who will have their teaching practice.

In the afternoon I was the only one who went back to the Satit to observe since my class 3/1. I was still a bit tired and my muscles ached from yesterday but would be better to go and observe in Satit especially because I also arrived late in Thailand. Aside from that, I am also happy to observe 3/1 and also be able to interact with the students in 3/1.
