Day 5 My First Weekend in Thailand

Today we went to Chatuchak market in Bangkok. We were accompanied by some of the Thai buddies of our friends. We rode a van going to Future Park and another van straight to the Market in Bangkok. There were a lot of people there that day, especially foreigners maybe because it was a weekend. We decided to split into groups before we go around the market so that we can better look at different shops and stalls.
As we go around the market I also learned something. Some of the shops there don't let their customers fit in the clothes they want to buy. Unlike here in the Philippines we can go and fit the clothes we want to buy even if we won't really buy it.
While walking around the market we saw this drink, we tried it out and it was good! We looked for souvenirs and things we can buy for ourselves. Sadly, I was not able to buy much because there were really a lot of people and it was hard to choose and try out especially because the others are waiting for me as well.

After we went to Chatuchak some went back to the University already but for our group we went to the mall where we ate KFC and exchanged our money. I was so surprised that at KFC in Thailand they have egg tarts! The pictures above is the transportations we used and the coin is the ticket they use in the MRT. While the picture below was the time we were waiting for the other groups to finish their shopping.

Things to know:
Expenses for fare: An estimate of 120 baht back and forth.
